One recording, many instruments
Each one starts from a single sound out of the factory library (our own field and studio recordings) laid into the wall, then played through a factory preset: chords, a drone, an arpeggio. The tag says what went in.
Presets
Pads play a four-chord progression, basses a two-bar line, leads a short melody, keys and plucks an arpeggio. The ORBIT presets get two held chords and play the rest themselves.
A first listen
AZOGUE sounds with no keys at all: each preset is left to ring on its own, the pool moving by itself. Lattice Walk gets a slow phrase on the keys. Tones, not notes.
Before / after
One 124 BPM groove (drums and pads from our own recordings, under a POLY bass) through eight presets, level-matched to the dry groove. MEMORY LENS presets capture after two bars.
Before / after
The same groove as an unmastered mix (about −20 dB RMS, −6 dBFS peak) through four presets. Not level-matched: the loudness change is the point.
