LENS AZOGUE
Quicksilver: bright, heavy, never still.
Not another keyboard synth. AZOGUE makes tones: a sine that beats against its twin, a bell struck in the dark, a pulse that slowly becomes a pitch, a sub you feel through the floor. You tune it by ratio and space, and it sounds before you touch a key.
Six knobs to make it yours
ROOT, SPREAD, BEAT, DENSITY, TARNISH and DISTANCE move the whole instrument at once. Turn them and you have a new sound; open a line when you want to know why.
01The field
Every line sits on a ratio of the root: just intervals, harmonic series, bells, bowls, tritaves. SPREAD opens the field wider; ROOT is a frequency, not a key.
02Six lines
Each line is a SINE, PULSE, NOISE, FM, BAND or PARTICLE source with its own envelope, filter and timing: always on, on a key, on a euclid ring, or following another line.
03The pool
The sound drawn as water you can play. Strike it and it rings, stir it and it moves. Every line its own colour, every hit a ripple.
04BREAK
Feedback, fold, crush and stutter when clean tones are not enough. It is still under the ceiling, however far you push it.
05SPACE and air
ECHO and SPACE from the rest of the suite, plus STILL and AIR for distance and the hiss of a room. Sub on its own knob.
06HUSH
One key lets every drone breathe out through its release, and brings it back when you press it again. MIDI-learn it and play the silence.
